A Messy Masterpiece

Sometimes you just have to throw it all in there and see what happens! This is the result of doing just that, paint, ink, paper, cardboard, more paint, more ink, and paper. I created this piece as part of my homework a while back from a class taught by my friend Robin Mead. I loved this class it was so much fun! Although this particular class is retired you can find other classes she offers below.

It was so much fun creating this piece, I worked really hard to not think about it but just do it instead. This was a real challenge, the perfectionist side kept screaming, WAIT, you can’t do that! But I didn’t listen and it felt so good!  Enjoy my messy masterpiece! It kinda looks like a musical garden don’t you think? I invite you to check out other colorful and fun classes Robin has to offer, like Craft Paint Madness, Crazy Colorful Cityscapes, and Digital Dreams. You can find these listings over on Coursecraft. Happy Creating!

  1. Kimberly, I love it and this is my favorite way to do art, letting go of perfection and look what happened!!! A beautiful work of art! I have yet a lot to learn about digital, I just live hands on. Digital is a whole other world that I hope to spend more time in the near future! Great piece!

  2. Thanks for stopping by and the comment Kim! I too prefer the hands-on style of work. My digital creations have taken some time to learn how to do and I'm still learning something new each time I create a new piece. One of the things I've learned with digital art is that it can be so much quicker at gratification and it can make what we may see as imperfect look perfect. can't wait to see what you come up with in digital, let me know if I can help!
